Though widely used for personal identification due to their convenience, fingerprint authentication systems currently lack the necessary strength of security. This paper thus proposes several novel techniques including detection algorithm for improving the security of fingerprint authentication based on stored multiple electromagnetic response inside human fingers. Such electromagnetic responses inside human fingers obtained via a novel coaxial complementary split-ring sensor array are statistically processed to obtain the proposed enhanced index for novel detection algorithm. This paper also describes several key technologies for future fingerprint spoofing detection system that is capable of detecting high-level fake finger attacks against high-security facilities. |
