The fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system has attracted much attention to provide various kinds of mobile services and applications for 2020 and later. Authors have shown that fully digital beamforming based on low-SHF bands Massive MIMO can achieve high spectral efficiency in downlink transmission. On the other hand, IoT terminal which continues uploading data at a speed as same as 4G user throughput seems to become common in 5G era, and such a 5G-IoT terminal requires low power consumption especially. Therefore, this paper reports uplink transmission power reduction by low SHF band Massive MIMO through computer simulations. |
