(in English) This paper proposes a method for easily extracting spatially characterized video frames with color gloves for Japanese sign language. The spatial feature of sign language is extracted by specifying the point where movement of the color gloved hand stops in sign language expression.  An image frame containing the spatial feature is extracted from the sign language video as a key frame image. Experiments were conducted to automatically extract the key frame images from sign language video using the proposed method. Experimental results showed that automatic extraction of the key frame images from sign language video is possible.
