A Study on Human Reflex Based Biometric Authentication Using Eye-Head Coordination

(in English) Biometric information could be easily leaked and/or copied. Therefore, biometric authentication in which biometric information is not required to be secret is desirable. To cope with this issue, we have proposed a user authentication using a human reflex response. It is expected that even if people know somebody’s reflex characteristics, it is difficult for anybody to impersonate the somebody, since nobody will basically be able to control his/her own reflex. In this paper, we are studying a biometric authentication using eye-head coordination as the first attempt and conducted a basic experiment. The availability of the proposed authentication system is evaluated through fundamental experiments.
