For mobile communication satellite for next generation satellite mobile communication service, very large aperture deployable antenna is proposed for service with small size user terminal. However, Thermal deformation of large reflector with surface mesh and tension cable will provide antenna pattern change of shaped beam and may cause deterioration of performance of communication service. We propose a method for compensation by dynamic and continuous control of amplitude and phase distribution for digital beam former antenna in orbit based on surface shape measurement by vision metrology system on board. In this report, the overview of our research and development results to establish the required fundamental technique and the study for feasibility of the proposed scheme. |
