Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Researches have been done in plasmonics at visible range using noble metals such as silver or gold. In recent years many kinds of conductive material have been evaluated as potential plasmonic materials and plasmonic effect is expanding in frequency from ultraviolet to infrared beyond original visible range. Even applications of loss are studied intensively towards perfect absorbers. Here we point out the drawback of silver in stability and discuss about aluminum and high melting point metals for perfect absorbers as metasurface. We also introduce hyperbolic metamaterials and describe future perspectives for new photonics emerging through a hyperbolic equiwavenumber surface.
