We developed a 1.7 μm band external cavity laser that can supply an output power of over 0 dBm in the 1650 to 1740 nm wavelength region, and applied it to a near infrared spectroscopy system to evaluate the ethanol concentration of several commercially available rice wines. The evaluation of the rice wines and distilled spirits was successful because the measured concentration values were within the labeled ethanol concentration regions on the bottles. |
