Realization of ZVS and Current Surge Suppression Technique for DAB DC-DC Converter with Proposed Masked Switching and PFM Control
Takaaki Soejima, Yoichi Ishizuka (Nagasaki Univ.), Toshiro Hirose (Nishimu Electronics Industries) EE2017-7
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Hard switching and switching surge are critical issues in Dual Active Bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter under the light load. Soft switching and the decrease of surge were achieved with a suggested approach in our previous research. However, in the situation of medium load, the surge current will be created in a new region. In this paper, a new method was proposed that can suppress the surge current by the digital control without extra elements. The efficiency of the proposed method was verified by the experiment.
