We discuss Markovian software reliability modeling with the effect of change-point and imperfect debugging environment for considering more practical situation on a software reliability growth process. Change-point is testing-time when the trend of software reliability growth process changes due to the change of fault target and so forth, and is known as one of the factors affecting the accuracy of software reliability assessment based on a reliability growth model. Finally, we show numerical examples of our model by using actual software failure-occurrence time data by discussing a parameter estimation method, and discuss goodness-of-fit of our model comparing with an existing Markovian imperfect debugging model. |
