Effect of Quantization Noise of Iterative Digital Self-Interference Canceller for OFDM Using Full Duplex

(in English) This paper investigates the effect of quantization noise which is caused by the number of quantization bits of analod-to-digital converter (ADC) for iterative digital self-interference canceller (DSIC) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) using full duplex (FD). We investigate the required self-interference (SI) suppression level of DSIC considering the impairments including SI, nonlinear distortions of power amplifier and RF receive circuitries, and quantization noise based on the link budget of the Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio interface. We also investigate the number of bits which are lost due to SI as a reference of the link-level simulation. By the link-level simulations, we investigate the effect of the number of quantization bits for iterative DSIC for OFDM with FD. We show when using the iterative DSIC, the number of quantization bits of Nquant = 10 bits is necessary to achieve the SI suppression level of approximately 50 dB.
