Development and Experimental Evaluation of an Information Floating System

(in English) Information floating permits mobile nodes to transmit information only in the target area. By doing this, information floating can deliver information to mobile nodes passing around the target area preventing the meaningless spread of information. In this report, we develop a prototypic information floating system and evaluate the system by experiments. An application of information floating is developed as an Android application with Bluetooth and GPS. We perform experiments using smartphones with the developed application, and evaluate performances of direct communication between nodes and positioning to judge whether current position of a node is contained the transmittable area. We consider characteristics of the information floating system. Furthermore, we consider simulation models reflecting the experiment results.
