Propagation Characteristics of 920Hz Radio Signal using Low Height

(in English) The wireless signal in the 920MHz frequency band, as compared to the one in the 2.4GHz frequency band,
has an advantage of longer transmittable range, on the other hand, a disadvantage of larger antenna form factor.
When applying the 920MHz wireless signal to data collection from a vital sensor node put to the waist position of a man,
its low antenna height affects the propagation characteristic.
Furthermore, the girth of abdomen is different between adults and children, so it also affects the propagation characteristic.
In this paper, we investigate the propagation characteristics of the 920Hz wireless signal using low antenna height.
We conduct experiments using adult and child human phantoms, measure the distance attenuation, the antenna directivity
and the attenuation by obstacle, and then characterize them with mathematical models.
