Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The relation between electric field distribution and transmission efficiency of the microwave power transfer (MPT) system is presented. The MPT system uses 2.45 GHz band and its transmission power is 50 W. The transmitting (Tx) and receiving (Rx) antennas are made of 64 elements array antennas and its aperture size of each antenna is 0.48 x 0.48 m. The electric field distribution in the Fresnel region of the large size antenna is inhomogeneous. That induces the variation of receiving power of each element and decrease transmission efficiency. In this study, we measured the electric field distribution and transmission efficiency to analyze the relation of them. As a result, the maximum transmission efficiency of the MPT system is 5.2% at the distance between Tx and Rx antennas are 2 m. The transmission efficiency inside of this distance is decreased due to the ununiformity of the electric field distribution. In contrast, that outside of this distance is decreased due to the electric field declaration of the distance.
