The effect of immersive head mounted display and floating feeling on electroencephalography

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We proposed a system for stress reduction by watching natural landscape images with relaxing effect by using an immersive head mounted display. We suppose that the proposed system reduces inpatients’ stress caused by insufficient visual stimuli. We evaluated efficiency of the proposed system by measuring electroencephalography (EEG). Furthermore, we added floating feeling as a factor of relaxing effect by adding a chair hammock to the proposed system and building more realistic environment.
