Recently, real time analysis, which uses fresher data than ever before, is the trend. It is expected to be used in various applications such as reducing traffic jam and supply chain management. For real time analysis, in-memory and columnar data base has come up recently. Its one issue is the speedup of transformation of row type data for OLTP to column type data for OLAP. Under these backgrounds, we have studied FPGA accelerator for transformation of row type data to column type data. In this research, we conduct the experiments to investigate the usefulness in real application. For this purpose, we evaluate the performance of analysis in several places for people flow analysis and supply chain management. The results show that the people flow analysis will finish within 10 seconds even with more row type data in the future and that analysis time for supply chain management will be reduced up to 46 %. We have the prospects for reality of real time analysis. |
