Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system exploits higher frequency bands with wider bandwidth by using Massive MIMO technologies to tackle rapidly increasing traffic. Although low SHF bands and high SHF bands are studied for early 5G, each bands’ coverage affects how to deploy 5G cell area using such bands. Hence, coverage of Massive MIMO using beamforming in low and high SHF bands should be clarified. This paper shows the coverage of Massive MIMO transmission using 4.5 GHz and 28 GHz bands and impact of antenna height and tilt angle on throughput performance by computer simulations based on average received power calculated from radio link budget.
