Feasible study on direction of arrival estimation of 28 GHz band in suburban Satoshi Ito, Masayuki Nakano (KDDI Research) AP2017-70 |

More precise simulation is required to design the area with massive MIMO which is considered of applying for mobile base station. In addition, the use of new frequency bands such as millimeter wave is considered. In this paper, direction of arrival (DoA) in the 28 GHz-band at suburban area is measured, we obtained DoA characteristic including reflective, diffracted and scattered wave components. Cross polarization components are measured, XPRs at each of the measuring point are around 5 dB. The measurement results are compared with the results simulated with ray tracing then the results of discussion for DoA characteristic are shown. |
