Transmission Power Control Using Human Motion Classification in Daily Human Motion Scenarios for WBAN

(in English) In this paper, transmission power control using human motion classification for wireless body area network (WBAN) is developed. In the proposed method, the human motion context is used when selecting transmit power of radio transmission since the human motion is one of the dominant factors that affect the channel characteristics in WBAN. This research aims to provide reliable and energy-efficient communication in WBAN for different daily human motion scenarios. It was shown that compared to using fixed Tx power at −5 dBm, the proposed method reduced 20-33 percent of average energy consumption with similar packet loss rate.
