High power tunable light source for coherent communication with distributed reflector laser array combined by AWG coupler

(in English) We have fabricated TLS module with an AWG combined DR-LD array. An AWG coupler with wavelength selectivity combines light from lasers efficiently, and contributes to high output power of a tunable light source. In addition, each laser is a DR laser with a back DBR. A DR laser is promising for small threshold gain which is essential for narrow linewidth. Furthermore, an SOA is separated from the laser chip and on the TEC different from LD array chip. As a results, the fiber output power reached 80mW at SOA current of 500mA. And 80-120 kHz of linewidth was obtained and that didn’t change with increasing SOA current.
