(in English) With the rapid spread of Internet and mobile telecommunications, everyone has easily become able to use various telecommunication services such as VoIP, video streaming, and web, anytime and anywhere. To realize comfortable telecommunication services, it is important to assess the quality of experience (QoE) for these services and to design network and/or application quality based on the relationships between various quality factors and QoE. Moreover, QoE can be managed by adopting objective quality assessment models which can estimate QoE from the measurable service parameters. This paper describes QoE design and management methods for telecommunication services. First, subjective quality assessment methods and the latest objective quality evaluation models are introduced. Then, some study items are shown and discussed for realization of careful QoE management for each user in the future network.
