A New Method of Lossless Coding for Binary Holographic Interference Fringes

(in English) Computer generating holography (CGH) is one of the promising 3D imaging techniques. However the resolution of holographic data is enormous for the sufficient angle of view. This paper proposes a new lossless coding system based on a run-length coding and Huffman coding. Especially, a new run-length coding method is developed. In the proposed method, a holographic interference fringe is divided into blocks and an appropriate run-length coding method is selected to each block. Therefore the suitable coding for each block can be adopted. From the experimental results, it is shown that the proposed method is effective.
