[Poster Presentation] Robust and Low Complexity Signal Detection Method based on Power Spectrum under Noise Uncertainty

(in English) A Signal Detection is an important technique in Cognitive Radio. The matched filter based energy detector is an optimal method to detect the signal without any side information. However, its optimal threshold is drastically varied by the noise level. In an actual environment, the noise level is unstable, i.e., the thermal noise. It makes the signal detection difficult. The proposed method adopts the window function as the offset shape of matched filter. The aim of offset shape is to fix the optimal threshold at any noise level. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of signal detection by computational simulation. The matched filter based signal detection degrades drastically with the change of temperature of several degrees. On the other hand, the proposed method shows a stable performance against temperature changes.
