Recently, saliency based mathematical models are frequently used to predict observers' gaze shifts. Although these models are superior to predict gaze positions at first sight, scan-path simulations are not useful because they do not consider the history of gazed locations. In this study, we proposed a new model which predicts scan-path of free-viewing condition. The proposed model processes the position information and the visual feature information separately by considering physiological mechanisms. We evaluated the validity of the model by comparing the cross-correlation of simulated scan-paths and actual human eye movements. The results suggest that the validity of proposed model is superior to other representative models, and proposed model is effective for predicting scan-path of free-viewing. |
