Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) n Japan, the introduction of children’s observation using surveillance cameras is progressing. However, the leakage of the surveillance camera video is regarded as a problem. On the other hand, children’s observation system using equipment such as a beacon is the most popular in Japan. In this system, children need to walk carrying the equipment. For this reason, the equipment cost is needed. Moreover, it works only when passing through a special place such as an elementary school gate. Therefore, parents cannot check the place of the child after leaving the school gate. In addition, most systems use simple ID numbers. Thus, the system has security problems. In this paper, we propose children’s observation system which enhances anonymity of data and enhances security and has advanced security function to prevent third parties from exploiting data. The proposed system is a children’s observation system using cameras operating on LoRa networks. LoRa is not suitable for transmitting large amounts of data like image data. It takes several hours to send one image. Therefore, edge computing is applied, and the image is converted to the children's features information and transmitted. Also, we adopted fog computing on the local gate for the purpose of transferring only the information of the child requesting the search to the cloud. Children's features information is encrypted and transmit, thus security is robust. The proposed children’s observation system using the information terminal bus stop is expected great contribution for city safety and security.
