In order to elucidate the neural mechanism of the visual attention, we propose a new mathematical model which can be easily extended according to neurophysiological evidence. Although the models which can explain the function of attention have been proposed, it is difficult to extend new functions on them because these conventional models have strong non-linearity. Our proposed model is basically structured by linear connection and easy to extend. The results of simulation experiments suggest that the proposed model is able to stably replicate the neurophysiological evidence about attentional modulation. |
