Assessment of emotional state by pupillometry

(in English) Recently pupillometry has attracted a lot of attention and has been studied to estimate various cognitive state.
Previous studies showed pupil dilation is related to our emotional state, specifically emotional arousal.
The purpose of this study is to extract emotional response induced from bimodal stimuli consisted of image and sound, not unimodal stimuli by pupillometry.
Pupil diameter was recorded during presentation of picture and sound in this experiment. Participants conducted cognitive task about visual stimuli.
The results of pupillometry showed that integration of negative image and sound elicited specific pupil dilation.
The study concludes that the combination of negative images and sounds elicited specific emotional response even during cognitive task.
