Analysis of pupillary change during the viewing of emotion-evoking images

(in English) Pupil response to emotion-evoking images was examined using
chronological analysis in the reaction of pupillary changes and eye
movement reactions.
The presented images were grouped into "Pleasant'' or "Unpleasant''
categories using participant's subjectively ratings.
When the means of the two emotional groups were compared, the means for
"Unpleasant" images were significantly larger than those for "Pleasant''
images while brightness of images did not influence to pupil sizes.
The pupil sizes for ``Pleasant'' images retained around 1 sec. after
stimuli onset. Since this phenomenon was observed after appearance in
difference in oscillations of eye movements between two groups,
pupillary changes was also affected by the impressions of image contents.
