Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We propose the calculation method of double precision floating point exponential function for FPGA with correct rounding recommended in IEEE754-2008 standard. We consider that a calculation method using rect- angular multiplication and table reference is suitable for FPGA.Because this reason,we calculate with high-radix STL method and Taylor expansion in the method we propose. In addition, we reduce required computational accuracy for correct rounding by specifying in advance the inputs incorrectly rounded and using it to fix.
