Three-dimensional underground imaging -- Study on surface wave reduction method using LM algorithm --
Yudai Kikuyama, Ryo Toh (Chiba Inst. Tech.) US2017-71
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) When image the underground objects, the reflected waves from underground objects are interfered with Rayleigh wave, and this influence may cause a significant reduction in image quality. In this research, we study the method to reduce the Rayleigh wave component. First, Rayleigh wave components are mathematically modeled, and parameters of the mathematical model are estimated by the least-square numerical analysis method, comparing with the part of Rayleigh wave component before the underground reflected waves in the measured received signals. As the least-square method, the Gauss-Newton method and the Levenberg-Marquardt method were compared and discussed. In addition, the initial value setting method considering the characteristics of Rayleigh wave used in this work was studied.
