| (in English) | Leaf temperature has a lot of attention because it is important to estimate transpiration and photosynthesis activities and noncontact measurement is possible using an infrared thermometer. For efficient collection of the leaf temperature data over the entire farm, we use both a drone in the sky and sensor nodes on the ground that are both equipped with infrared thermometers. The drone measures the leaf temperature over the entire farm. The sensor nodes are placed near the crops in a part of the farm and measure the topical leaf temperature. The drone and the sensor nodes need to measure the leaf temperature at the same time and the same location for the calibration. In this study, we make a prototype of WSN using a communication protocol which enables the synchronization among the drone and the sensor nodes. The preliminary results of a prototype experiment show that the measurements are sufficiently synchronized for collecting useful leaf temperature data. | |
