Development of a User-Cooperative Streaming Platform by Container Orchestration

(in English) Internet video streaming services have become popular all over the world, where those demands have rapidly increased along with the sophistication of video streaming technologies. In this study, we develop a user-cooperative video streaming platform that is capable of flexibly rearranging arbitrary stream processing modules. This platform uses containerization as stream processing modules for flexible stream processing. We also develop a viewer that has a layout corresponding to stream ranking obtained in the developed platform and intuitive user’s operation of stream processing such as transcoding and video mixing. We describe the design and implementation of our platform and show its effectiveness by experimental evaluations.
