Various high-output components composing a pneumatic system are widely used in various fields. However, it is possible that such components harm humans in case of dangerous failure (error) due to their malfunction or control loss, container burst or high-pressure air blow-off due to their life expiration, or fly-off broken pieces or parts due to air blow-off. In view of this, this study proposes a fail-safe interlock system to clear dangerous failures of pneumatic drive systems [1]. In this context, this study manufactures a fail-safe interlock system by way of trial to check its behavior and performance, designs a sensor for pressure monitoring (through an inspection window) to verify its performance using the prototype system and an experiment device. Incidentally, this study is supported by a subsidy from the JSPS’s grands-in-aid for scientific research JP16k01310. |
