[Invited Lecture] Rectenna for 500MHz band using Yagi-Uda antenna array and voltage doubler rectifier

(in English) In this report, a rectenna operating at 500 MHz band is proposed and its performance is clarified via numerical simulation and measurement. The rectenna is composed of two Yagi-Uda antennas and rectifier circuits. The Yagi-Uda antennas are designed in order to maximize their gain under a specific limitation of antenna size, i.e. 0.2m×0.2m×0.2m cube. As a result, main beam of the designed antennas is directed to broadside direction of diagonal plane of the cube. A voltage doubler rectifier is adopted in order to impose higher voltage to a diode than its breakdown voltage. The designed rectifier shows high rectification efficiency and stable rectification.
