Deterministic Interleaver Design for Turbo Codes

(in English) Deterministic interleavers are preferred in the constructing of turbo codes due to the ability to peform
interleaving and de-interleaving operations via algorithm. Amongst these, the linear interleaver is the simplest to
design but it performs poorly at high SNR values. In this paper, we introduce a new interleaver design which is
based of changing the angular coefficient of the linear interleaver by a constant for every position shift. A limited
search is performed to find good interleavers. The decoding performance of the new interleaver is better than the
linear interleaver for medium and long frame sizes.
