A study of tracing algorithm for fingerprinting code considering erasure symbols

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The robustness against collusion attack has been measured under the marking assumption in fingerprinting codes. In some studies, addition of Gaussian noise is assumed for the consideration of realistic situation. In this study, we investigate erasures both in segments of multimedia content and in symbols of codeword. The former erasure is the case of clipping attack, and the latter is done at the signal processing domain in which watermark is embedded. We also propose an optimal tracing algorithm for the erasure collusion attack, and theoretically estimate the number of erasure symbols in a pirated codeword. As the results, the false-positive probability derived by our analysis reveals the important features of fingerprinting code in the availability point of view.
