A study on method for detecting the convergence of coefficients of pre-estimating filter for active noise control

(in English) In this paper, we propose a method for detecting the convergence of the coefficients of the pre-estimation filters applied to feedfoward type active noise control systems. The secondary and the feedback paths are estimated generally before starting the active noise control. In practical use, the paths are desired to be automatically estimated. The impulse responses of the paths and the disturbance arriving at microphones, however, are unknown. In this case, it is impossible to detect the convergence of the coefficients directly. in this paper, we propose a method for detecting the convergence by referencing the difference between the coefficients of two adaptive filter and finally verify using computer simulations that the proposed method can successfully detect the convergence.
