[Invited Talk] Signal Processing for Sound Environment System with Non-Gaussian, Nonlinear and Nonstationary Properties -- My forty-year history at a slow pace --

(in English) In the actual sound environment system, a specific signal shows various types of probability distribution, and the observation data are usually contaminated by the background noise of non-Gaussian distribution type. Furthermore, there potentially exist various nonlinear correlations in addition to the liner correlation between input and output time series. Consequently, often the system input and output relationship in the actual phenomenon cannot be represented by a simple model using only the linear correlation and lower order statistics. In this report, complex sound environment systems difficult to analyze by using usual structural method have been considered. By introducing nonlinear system models based on several higher order statistics between input and output signals, the estimation and/or prediction methods of the specific signal for sound environment systems have been theoretically proposed in a suitable form for the sound environment system with nonlinear, non-Gaussian and nonstationary properties. The research results in my forty-year history are described in this report.
