Selective Synthesis of Stereophonic Sound Field Based on Spectral Modification Between Multiple Channels

(in English) This research presents a selective synthesis method of stereophonic sound field for the interactive viewing of omni/hemisphere videos. This method is based on the spectral modification between multiple channels, synthesizes the stereophonic signals of an arbitrary range centering on an arbitrary direction from the multichannel signals of microphone array, and has the feature that the spatial information of sound field is saved. We also developed an application software for smartphones in stand-alone mode. In this paper, we introduce the method, application software and evaluation results.
