Evaluation method of piezoelectric materials for high-power ultrasonic applications

(in English) High power properties of piezoelectric transducer were evaluated considering complex nonlinear elastic constants. The piezoelectric LCR equivalent circuit with nonlinear circuit parameters were utilized to measure them. The deformed admittance curve of piezoelectric transducer was measured under high stress and complex nonlinear elastic constants were calculated by the curve fitting. Pb(Zr,Ti)O3, (K,Na)NbO3, Ba(Zr,Ti)O3-(Ba,Ca)TiO3, Na2O-Bi2O3-TiO2-CrO3/2 and LiNbO3 single crystal were investigated with proposed method. We found a relationship between complex nonlinear elastic constants and linear parameters and proposed the figure of merit for the high power piezoelectric vibration using the complex nonlinear elastic constant.
