A Resource Allocation Method using Core Control Function of Multicore Server in NFV Environment

(in English) Currently, NFV that virtualizes network functions has attracted attention as a technology for efficiently utilizing CPU resources and reduction of deployment of network equipment and operation cost. NFV places the virtual network function VNF on the server in the data center for the conventional network equipment. As an example of VNFs, there is vCPE which is a virtualized home network function. The number of vCPE users increases due to virtualization of each home network equipment. Meanwhile, there is concern that the power consumption of the data center will increase, and the number of operating CPU cores of the server is controlled to reduce power consumption. In this paper, we propose a resource allocation method aimed at reducing service processing time and call blocking probability. In addition, in order to reduce power consumption, we propose a resource allocation method that control the number of active CPU cores, and minimizing the number of active servers in the vCPE environment Proposed. As a result, by using the proposed method, it was confirmed that the demand rejection rate and the processing time were greatly reduced while suppressing the power consumption.
