VM Migration Management for QoS Optimization in Mobile Edge Computing

(in English) For mobile edge computing (MEC), congestion avoidance can be achieved by distributing the workloads across multiple base stations (BS), more specifically, conducting a VM migration from a congested BS to a less congested one. However, existing studies evaluate QoS improvement by conducting a single VM migration. Furthermore, the existing VM migration management in which VMs are migrated to follow user movement is not effective when a lot of users move to the same place. Thus, in this paper, we evaluate the total TCP throughput by a VM migration management for total TCP throughput optimization in which VMs are optimally migrated and accessed via an optimal path.
