(in English) In recent years, the spread of IoT (Internet of Things) has progressed, and the demand for wireless sensor networks in cultivated field is increasing. However actual communication range in outdoor situation is not clear. Thus it is difficult to select adequate wireless module. We measured the communication range of commercially available 2.4 GHz band radio modules under various conditions. The changed conditions are the type of antenna, the altitude of the wireless module, and so on. The measured results show that these conditions have strong effect on the communication range.
