Multiple Reference Terminal Placement for Hierarchical Opportunistic Routing Using Destination Terminal Area Estimation

(in English) In ad hoc networks, a novel routing paradigm called opportunistic routing has been proposed to enable packet forwarding without using a specific route to improve both reliability and efficiency of the forwarding by autonomous forwarding decision on receivers of broadcast communication. However, this scheme has a drawback that the network load may increase due to the increase of transmitted packets, since many terminals are involved in the packet forwarding. To solve this problem, we propose a hierarchical opportunistic routing with clustering and hierarchization. Inside the clusters, the direction of packet forwarding is limited to suppress the network load and to improve the efficiency of destination discovery procedure.
