Modeling and Analyzing Large Content Caching for Information Centric Networking

(in English) Increase in the size of content due to emergence of bandwidth-intensive applications, such as video on demand, leads to a problematic phenomenon that packets never hit remain in the cache and waste the space of the cache, referred to as looped replacement, of packet-level caching of information centric networking. This paper analytically investigates how looped replacement occurs. According to the analyses, we propose to use cache admission as one of the countermeasures against looped replacement and confirm it suppress the occurrence of looped replacement through simulation.
