Technology verification of Microwave Power transmission (MWPT) for Vertical direction -- Summary of technology verification plan --

(in English) J-spacesystems has been studying SSPS, Space Solar Power System, as a future alternative energy resources since 1990’s. "Research and development (R&D) of efficiency improvement for microwave power transmission (MWPT) applying for space solar power" project has been carried out under the contract from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry since 2014. We recognize MWPT is a key technology for the realization of SSPS, we are focusing on the sophistication of MWPT by this R&D. In this paper we would like to introduce the outlines of current R&D project and the vertical MWPT verification which is planned to be realize in FY2018.
