Extension of Hop-by-Hop File Delivery System with Fixed-Size Files on Two Link Model

(in English) The cache technology such as CDN, P2P, ICN/CCN, is used in the file delivery system for file duplication and load balancing. However, we should consider the service latency when users send a request and completely receive the file. There is a study of optimal service latency in an one-link model of HBH file delivery system. In this paper, we extend the study of the file delivery system to a two-link model with considering the fixed size of files. At first, we consider the system does not permit an intermediate node to change the file delivery order. Even though the intermediate node can do that and possibly improve the system performance, our study discusses how difficult to formulate and derive the optimal solution of service latency. We also analyze the system with two types of contents and we show how low possibility we can reduce the service latency in the system.
