Performance Evaluation of SINR Improvement Method in Road Traffic Flow in Crash Warning Application using V2X Communication

(in English) Crash warning application (CWA) using V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communications defines requirements for communication quality in the number of received data frames per seconds. The data frames are advertised in broadcast manner by nodes such as vehicles and pedestrians. It is desired to improve SINR (Signal to Interference Noise Ratio) of nodes that cannot obtain the number of received frames enough to meet the requirements. SINR Improvement method has been proposed and evaluated. The evaluation employed the model where nodes are uniformly distributed. The improvement of the method is, however, affected by density of nodes. Thus, this paper employs a more realistic model where density of nodes varies spot by spot. In the evaluation, the measured real road traffic formed by SUMO (Simulation of MObility) is used. The performance is shown to be improved by 462%.
