[Poster Presentation] Study on spread-spectrum based speech watermarking method for linear predictive coding

(in English) This paper investigates availability of spread-spectrum based speech watermarking
method for linear predictive coding. Although direct spread spectrum (DSS) method can
be used for speech watermarking as a robust audio-watermarking method, there is still a
problem for sound quality due to spread of spectrum for watermarking. In this study, a
DSS method using linear prediction (LP) residue is proposed to solve the above problem,
since linear the LP residue has the same property of the pseudo-random noise (PN) signal.
The proposed method has an advantage for speech watermarking without using any keys to
reproduce the PN signal.
As results of simulation, it was shown that the propose method can embed watermarks
into original speech signals with high sound quality while the detection rate by the
proposed method is slightly reduced by comparing it with DSS method.
