[Invited Talk] Social simulation aimed at mitigating damages and its validation

(in English) Simulations have been used for multiple purposes and in multiple fields. Social simulation, in which humans play a major role in simulated scenarios, is one of the most promising fields. In general, human behavior is difficult to formulate well in mathematical form, and it is also difficult to confirm simulation results empirically. Agent-based simulations have been proposed as one of the methods to determine the behaviors of a large number of individuals in out-of-the-box scenarios.
We consider evacuation guidance system to illustrate that a new device will change human behavior, as a means of validating the results of a simulation.
