Sleeve Antenna Composed of Two Different Configuration of Right/Left-Handed Coaxial Lines

(in English) A small sleeve antenna composed of right/left-handed Coaxial lines (CRLH CLs) is proposed and of which characteristics are confirmed by electromagnetic simulations. The CRLH CLs are designed to occur −1st resonance at around 700 MHz. The proposed antenna matches at 710 MHz and the radiation pattern in the horizontal plane is omnidirectional. Radiation patterns, total antenna efficiencies, and leakage currents of the proposed antenna are compared with those of conventional sleeve antenna and we confirmed that the characteristics of the proposed antenna are similar to those of the conventional sleeve antenna.
